Biz Camp

The Chamber proudly sponsors elementary students ages 9-12 to attend Junior Achievement Biz Camp in Louisville, KY. During the camp, participants experience what it is like to work a job and run a business. Designed as a simulated city run by kids, students learn how money, careers, and business ownership work by operating banks, managing restaurants, writing checks, and voting for mayor. In this one day camp, students experience applying and interviewing for jobs, keeping a work schedule, managing personal budgets, and opening a business.

from Junior Achievement

A BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular program allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. The program helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world. (Grades 4-6) – Junior Achievement
