Congratulations to Foundations Family Medicine’s very own Kimberly Buck for being named the Recovery Coach of the Year!

This award was given by Mental Health America of Indiana (MHAI), an advocacy organization that specializes and supports mental health wellness and substance use recovery. Every year, MHAI recognized Heroes for Recovery to promote recovery and treatment for individuals living with mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

Kimberly was attending a harm reduction conference where she met an individual that was so inspired by her accomplishments, that she nominated Kimberly for the Recovery Coach of the Year.

Kimberly is a proud mother to two children. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science of Criminology and Criminal Justice from Indiana State in 2016. She is now seeking her Masters in Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Kimberly is a Certified Recovery Coach, Certified Peer Support Specialist, and a Certified Community Health Worker.

Kimberly started at Foundations Family Medicine as a volunteer through Community Outreach. Now, Kimberly works full time as our Linkage to Care Regional Case Manager.

Kimberly has also created an online peer support group for individuals coming out of incarceration called Beyond the Pod. She promotes a closed and safe group for people currently using, and in recovery to offer guidance, support, and love.

Foundations Family Medicine is so proud of Kimberly for living out her passion to help all people. We are overjoyed to have her as part of our team.

Kimberly will be honored by MHAI on December 10th at the Mental Health and Addiction Symposium Heroes for Recovery Luncheon.
