Who is SCSD2
Scott County School District 2 is one of the best school systems in Indiana. Our mission is to provide a path to a brighter future for your student.
Our elementary schools include: Johnson Elementary, Lexington Elementary, Scottsburg Elementary, and Vienna-Finely Elementary. At the elementary level we begin by preparing for your student’s path. Students receive quality instruction in language arts, math, science, and social studies. Learners develop technology skills to learn, create, and work together using iPad devices.
Our middle school, Scottsburg Middle School, continues the preparation done by the elementary schools by exploring your student’s path options. Students receive quality instruction in language arts, math, science, and social studies. High School credit courses are offered and include: physical education, Algebra I, health, college and career, and Introduction to Agriculture. Learners have 1:1 access to iPad devices and state-of-the-art technology with 24/7 access to support learning, creativity, and teamwork.
When students enter Scottsburg High School, they will begin to clarify their path: College, Business Ownership, Workforce, or Military. Students will pursue coursework and extra-curricular activities that support their path choice.
